“Not Me But You”

NSS Units 45 & 75 

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 45 and 75 of our college serve as dynamic platforms for fostering social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement among students. These units play a vital role in shaping socially committed youth by encouraging active participation in community development and service-oriented programmes.

The NSS Units 45 and 75 organize various upliftment activities to support the weaker sections of society and to develop a sense of social responsibility among students. One of the major initiatives is “SNEHASPARSHAM – Pothichor Vitharanam,” which started in June 2024 and continues even now, through which volunteers distribute packed meals to people in need. Another important initiative, “KARUTHAL – Palliative Care Kit Distribution,” began in July 2024 to provide essential palliative care kits to bedridden patients, and this programme is also continuing successfully.

Every year, the NSS units conduct a seven-day Special Camp to promote social service among students, following the NSS motto “Not Me But You.” The units also organize “SWAP SHOP,” a dress collection and distribution programme conducted in different areas with the main aim of sharing clothes with love and helping those in need. In addition, volunteers distribute notebooks and pens to school students to encourage the importance of education.

The NSS units regularly conduct various cleaning programmes and environmental initiatives in different areas to promote cleanliness and community welfare. NSS volunteers also participated in the National Tiger Survey from December 1 to 8, 2025 at Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, contributing to wildlife conservation efforts.
