Anti-Drug Cell
The Anti-Drug Cell of CAS Kanthalloor organized an awareness program for final-year students with the objective of educating them about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting the importance of road safety. The initiative aimed to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, make responsible decisions, and follow traffic rules for personal and public safety. The program began with an inaugural session, where Mr. Alex Baby, DySP Munnar, addressed the students and emphasized the need for discipline, responsible behavior, and active involvement in social awareness activities. The resource person, Mr. Jeemon Augustine, SI Marayoor, delivered an informative session on anti-drug awareness and traffic safety. He explained the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug abuse and discussed preventive measures and available support systems. The session also highlighted key aspects of road safety, including obeying traffic rules, using helmets and seat belts, avoiding drunk driving, and practicing safe driving habits. The program was highly informative and impactful, creating strong awareness among students about the dangers of substance abuse and unsafe driving. It also motivated them to act as responsible citizens and contribute towards building a safer and healthier society.
