Health Club 

The Health Club of the College of Applied Science, Anchunadu, Kanthalloor was inaugurated in the year 2025 with the aim of promoting physical and mental well-being among students. The club encourages students to adopt healthy lifestyles and actively participate in awareness programmes related to health and wellness.As part of the Health Club initiatives, the college organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The programme focused on creating awareness and encouraging students to stay away from drugs and lead a healthy and responsible life.The college celebrated International Yoga Day in the college premises with active participation from students and faculty members. A yoga session was conducted to highlight the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental peace, and overall well-being.On December 1, 2025, the college observed World AIDS Day to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and promote a healthy and responsible society.The programme included:

  • Awareness Rally conducted by students around the nearby areas
  • Awareness Pledge taken by students and staff
  • Flash Mob performed by students to create public awareness

These activities aimed to educate the community about prevention, reduce stigma, and promote awareness about HIV/AIDS.

Objectives:

  • Encourage students to adopt healthy habits such as proper nutrition, exercise, and personal hygiene.
  • Conduct awareness programmes on important health issues among students and the community.
  • Educate students about the harmful effects of drugs, alcohol, and other addictive substances.
  • Organize activities like yoga, sports, and fitness programmes to improve physical health.
  • Support activities that reduce stress and improve students’ mental health.
