About the Department
The Dept. of commerce was started with the mission and vision of imparting quality commerce education to the students, to make them full -fledged business and finance professionals. It was established in August 2010. It offered three-year B.Com with Computer Application Degree course in Commerce group affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam up to the academic year 2010-2011. In the academic year 2014-2015 B.Com with Taxation degree course was introduced in the college from Dept. of commerce. . By doing this course, the students can be able to compete with the growing pace of the business world. By completing the course the students will be capable of working in competent companies or can go for higher studies. Both of these offer them a good career. Presently eight faculty members are working in the department.

Asst. Professor (HOD)Our department is now focusing on research and academic performance of students. Most of our students are well placed in their job profiles and consistently exceeding the expectation of corporate world. Our students are also undertaking project work as part of their curriculum in various institutions. We the faculty members are taking whole hearted effort and dedication in making the teaching learning process more effective .I congratulate all my colleagues and dear students for their brilliant and original effort they are taking to make our outcome fruitful.
